Review: "The Thursday Night Club and Other Stories of Christmas Spirit" by Steven Manches

I just finished reading Steven Manchester’s newest book. As the name implies, it is a collection of three, modern day, heartwarming short stories involving the true Christmas spirit. Each has a unique, individual message to relay and they all bring forth the genuine meaning of the holiday.

As in all of Mr. Manchester’s previous books, his characters have depth and are very human. Any one of them introduced in the stories could be someone that you know in your own life. You become emotionally invested in each of their lives and feel as if you could be part of the story. The situations each character finds themselves in could be found in anyone’s life.

I loved this collection of tales as much as I have loved all of Mr. Manchester’s books. They can be read and enjoyed by any age and can be completed in one or two sittings. They definitely bring out the holiday spirit and would make a fabulous holiday gift for a very special person.
