Review: "Snapper: A Novel" by Brian Kimberling

This is the whimsical reminiscing concerning the youth of fictional Indiana resident, Nathan Lochmueller. It largely covers his years after college while he was working studying the natural habitat of song birds. His life is filled with adventure and colorful characters, from his childhood friend to his aunt and uncle.

The author has a very entertaining writing style. His ability to relate even serious events with a comedic tone keeps the story light and fast moving. There is a wide variety of characters, each with their own idiosyncrasies, that gives the story diversity and keeps it humorous.

If you are looking for an effortless beach read, this could be the book for you. It will keep a smile on your face to the last page.
