Review: "The Thief" by Stephanie Landsem

This is the second book in Ms. Landsem’s Living Water Series and what a wonderful story!!! Although this is about the thieves that died on the cross with Jesus, it is also about another thief, Mouse, whose life is changed by the sacrifice of not only, Jesus, but a friend who proves to her that she is worth dying for. It is also about the Roman centurion whose life is forever altered by Mouse and Jesus and his followers.

Once again, Stephanie Landsem delivers a masterpiece of Biblical fiction. Her characters are well developed and the storylines are flawlessly intertwined. Although this is set in ancient Jerusalem, their emotions and feelings of hopelessness resonate through the ages.

This is a heart stopping drama that you will not be able to put down until the last page is turned. It is a brilliant story about not only the last days of Jesus but also about the people of that time and the heartaches that they faced. It can be read and enjoyed by young and old. Even if you are not especially interested in Biblical fiction, pick this book up, you will not be disappointed.
