Review: "Wandering in Exile" by Peter Murphy

This is an interesting fictional story about the life of Danny Boyle. It begins when he is in his early 20’s and immigrates to Canada from Ireland for a new start from a troubled past. He gets a job and is also a musician in a band. His girlfriend from home moves to be with him and life seems settled. But as in life, just when you think you have it all figured out, things go awry.

Peter Murphy has a very unique writing style. The plot is fast moving and entertaining and it kept me turning pages. On this merit, I would recommend this book. What I didn’t care for was although interesting, I couldn’t find the defining plot of the story. I kept waiting for the storyline to unfold and have a definite premise of where the author was leading. I did enjoy what I read, it just never came together for me.

Peter Murphy has two books that precede this one and I will definitely read them. He is articulate and easy to read.
